Inspiration, Knowledge and Support: Libraries Promoting Economic Wellbeing
presented by Northamptonshire County Council and supported by Demco Interiors
Steve Beasant, Lead Designer, Demco Interiors presents Sharon Kirkpatrick, Senior Manager for Dorset Libraries with a Prize Draw winning Nook at the recent Libraries Promoting Economic Wellbeing event organised by Northamptonshire County Council.
Demco was sponsor of the day organised by the Council as part of their Inspiration, Knowledge and Support series of events.
In her welcoming letter, Barbara Leigh, Acting Head of Libraries, Northamptonshire County Council said: ÔÇ£….. libraries do still make a difference in a whole number of ways and one of those is to support economic wellbeing. We do this by building on our assets, particularly those soft assets nurtured over time: the trust of our communities, our skill at supporting and inspiring people through access to knowledge and information so they in turn can unlock their potentialÔÇØ.
The event hosted delegates and speakers from far and wide and the day concluded with a Question Time styled panel with pre prepared questions from delegates answered by the event speakers.
Steve Beasant, Demco Interiors said: ÔÇ£We were delighted to have an opportunity to support the team at Northamptonshire at another of their excellent events. The events are fast gaining a reputation for the quality of their speakers and the opportunity to present and debate pertinent topics. While speakers and delegates come from far and wide we benefit from the fact that our head office is based in Rushden Northants, so we are just down the road! We look forward to supporting the next event on their busy events scheduleÔÇØ.
